In the July 2015 issue of 425Business, Dynamic Language Partner Sandy Dupleich was featured in an article about her career, her company, and her favorite hobby: boating.
For Dupleich, work is a family affair -- her husband Will is CIO, her brother Rick is her business partner, her mother Maria is CEO, and her father is retired from the business. Her family moved to the Seattle area from Bolivia when she was 2, and her parents started the company that is now a leading language service provider in the Pacific Northwest.
One of her biggest challenges as finance manager has been competing with lower-cost, out-of-state vendors for clients. Although Dynamic Language is often not the cheapest option, it is well known in the industry for quality translations and strong customer service. "The clients who work with us know that they're going to get high touch and consistent service over time, something they're not going to get with someone who's coming in with the cheapest price," Dupleich said. Fortunately, this strategy has so far paid off, as Dynamic Language counts Nordstrom, Boeing, and Microsoft and other large companies among its core clients.

To unwind after work, Sandy and her husband love to boat around Puget Sound with their three children and dog, Lucy. Some of their favorite locations include Roche Harbor, Poulsbo, Victoria, Friday Harbor, and Edmonds, though they have also gone boating in Mexico and Kauai. Dupleich recommends joining a club before purchasing a boat, as their involvement with the Bellevue Yacht Club helped them decide on their 30-foot Chaparral Signature 300 Cruiser.
Dupleich now holds a position on the Bellevue Yacht Club's executive board, in addition to serving on the executive board of the King County Sexual Assault Resource Center. To get in touch with Sandy or another one of our employees, please click here.
