Fight community hunger with Empty Bowls 2011

Empty BowlsEmpty Bowls 2011 makes its way to the new Burien Community Center (Just south of Seattle: see map) on Friday, Jan. 28.

The event works to fight hunger in the surrounding community. Donations will buy a handmade bowl and a meal of soup, bread, dessert and drink. Food will be donated by local businesses, which will be in the running for a "best soup" trophy called the Tree of Bowls Soup Trophy.

Lunch 11 a.m. - 2 a.m.
Dinner 4 - 8:00 p.m.

Minimum donations of $15 for adults and $10 for children are desired. Proceeds will go to Highline Food Bank and White Center Food Bank.
